Commencing Certified Ecommerce VA Program

September 21, 2009

I am very excited to announce my participation in the Certified Ecommerce VA Program at Hot Skills VA Training. Participation in this program is a part of my overall commitment to my learning plan as a Virtual Assistant.  I am so committed to learning, that I have it written into my business plan!

I continually take part in webinars, seminars and other types of training to augment my professional skills, but this will be the first large scope, multi-week program.  The financial investment is more significant as well, but I have no doubt that it will be worth it!

This particular program will enable me to build upon the expertise I already have, in addition to potentially growing my business by offering new services as a Virtual Assistant.  The certification component is definitely a bonus, but I chose the program because it perfectly fits my personal plan for learning.  I have other programs planned (one starting later this month), but I’ll wait to announce those later on.

So, what exactly, am I so excited about?  Well, take a look at a partial outline:

•  Merchant Account & Paypal

We will discuss all aspects of the buying process, including gateways, merchant accounts and using PayPal as a payment option.

•  Setting up the Shopping Cart

Learn the various elements of a shopping cart system, including how to setup and customize a shopping cart system from scratch based on your client’s preferences.

•  Creating and Using Autoresponders

A key element of any online business strategy, learn how to create an autoresponder and post the ‘sign-up form’ to your client’s website.

•  Setting up Products/Programs for Sale

The magic ‘behind the buy button’. Learn how to setup a product in the shopping cart, including specifics on how to setup shipping costs, taxes and more.

•  Formatting & Sending Broadcasts

Including ezines, newsletters and other announcements, learn how to properly format and distribute a broadcast with proper tracking and statistic components.

•  Setting up Teleclass Registration

Everything from bridgelines to post class follow-up, learn all the elements (and tips) to setup a seamless teleclass registration process.

•  Setting up Affiliate Programs

How to setup an affiliate program for various products in your client’s shopping cart.

•  Blog Posting & Maintenance

As the popularity of ‘blogs as a business strategy’ increases, more clients are looking for help in posting and maintaining their business blogs.

We will cover basic blog setup, posting and plus some ideas on blog traffic and exposure.

•  Assisting in Product Creation (Written & Audio)

While you may not be able to ‘write the book’ for your client, there are many things you can do to support the product creation process. We will cover everything you can do, from tools to create products, affordable production options to fulfillment.

•  Assisting in Traffic & List Building

Many clients are looking for support in driving traffic to their websites to help build their lists and increase sales. Learn specific tasks you can do as a VA do to support your clients traffic strategies.

I cannot wait to get started!  Stay tuned for updates as I progress through the program.

As well, I will be detailing my participation in a brand new certification course being offered by VA Classroom – one that is an integral part to the launching of a niche for my Virtual Assistant business.
